Image generators hand you a picture. Artimic hands you the file.

A generated image is flat: every word and photo is baked into the same pixels. Artimic builds the design out of real layers, the way a designer would, so changing one thing never means starting over.

One layer of pixels. A typo in the headline means generating again and hoping.

Chat or click. It's the same file.

The agent edits named layers, not pixels, so every change is one you could have made by hand. Switch between asking and doing at any moment: undo an agent edit, nudge it yourself, or ask for another pass.

A real editor under the AI.

When you want to take over, the tools are already there. Every screenshot below is the Artimic editor, not a mockup.

  • Node editing on the arch of a Ramadan invitation: anchor points and bézier handles on the path.

    Pen, nodes and Pathfinder

Draw paths, reshape any curve by its anchors, and combine shapes with Unite, Subtract, Intersect, Exclude or the Shape Builder.

  • Free Transform on a cover photo in Perspective mode, with one corner pulled in and the transform panel open.

    Corner-pin perspective

Free Transform rotates and skews any layer, and pins a photo's corners to warp it into perspective.

  • The text Effects panel with outline, background, drop shadow and outer glow controls.

    Effects and blend modes

Drop shadow, outer glow, outline and blur on any layer, plus blend modes and clipping masks.

  • The brush panel with Paint, Erase and Blur modes, a live stroke preview and a color palette.

    Brushes

Paint, erase, or paint a soft blur. Each stroke lands on its own layer, so it stays editable.

Bring your own agent.

Artimic runs an MCP server. Connect Claude Code, Cursor, Codex, Gemini CLI or any MCP client, and your agent builds and edits .img files with the same tools Artimic's own agent uses. You open the result in the browser, layer by layer.

  1. Sign in and create a free API token in Dashboard › API tokens.
  2. Add the server to your client with the snippet.
  3. Ask your agent for a design, then open the .img it saves.

Questions

Is Artimic free?

Yes. The editor, all 91 templates, exports and the quick tools are free and need no account. The AI agent runs on credits: sign in with a free account to get free AI credits, no card required. Paid plans are coming soon.

How is this different from an AI image generator?

An image generator returns a flat picture, so changing one word means generating again. Artimic returns a design made of separate layers (text, photos, shapes, vector paths and icons) that you can edit by hand or by asking the agent.

What is an .img file?

It is Artimic's design file. It keeps every layer, group, page and effect, so a design reopens exactly as you left it. Save it to your computer and open it again in the editor any time.

Which formats can I export?

PNG, JPG, WebP, AVIF, PDF and PowerPoint (PPTX). Multi-page designs export every page, as a multi-page PDF or as a PowerPoint deck with speaker notes.

Are my files uploaded?

The editor and quick tools run in your browser, so files you open stay on your device. AI features and cloud saving send data to Artimic only when you choose to use them.

Can I use my own AI agent?

Yes. Artimic runs an MCP server, so Claude Code, Cursor, Codex, Gemini CLI and other MCP clients can create and edit .img files with a free API token.

Your first draft is one sentence away. Every draft after it is yours to edit.
